The hip joint is one of the body's major weight-bearing joints and hip arthritis is a degenerative joint disorder characterized by wearing-down of hip join cartilages.
It effects 3-4% of people of all age groups, causing grinding and abrading of bone surface, leading to pain, stiffness and swelling hip arthritis has no single specific cause; however, the main cause is said to be due to the damage and inadequate blood supply to the head part of the femur bone, known as avascular necrosis (AVN); classified into stage 1-4th.
Stage 1 and 2 include pain and difficulty in walking; treated with the medication. In stage 3 pain and disability in the creased. Stage 4th further damage the acetabulum cup. stage 3rd and 4th may need surgeries for compression with/ without bone grafting and total hip replacement (THR).
